Classrooms

Early Head Start Classroom 

The early head start classroom is for ages 0-3 years old. This classroom is particularly equipped for a small variety of ages. The main priority of this classroom is to help the child improve/build speech, large motor skills, and fine motor skills. This classroom is required to document the development of the children in an application called COR, which is designed to create a bridge between the teachers and parents to share the development of the child.

Toddler Classroom

The toddler classroom is for ages 1-2 years old. This classroom focuses on basic learning such as colors, shapes, and numbers. The toddler classroom often combines with the early head start classroom during morning playtime. In the toddler classroom, the children are still working to improve their fine motor skills, large motor skills, and beginners' potty training.

Early Preschool Classroom

The early preschool classroom is for ages 2 1/2-3 1/2 years old. The children in this classroom are learning a bit beyond the basic learning skills such as animals, days of the week, and letters. The children in this class should be continuing to potty train. The overall goal of the early preschool classroom is to have the children prepared for the preschool classroom.

Preschool Classroom

The preschool classroom is for ages 3 1/2-5 years old. The preschool classroom is based on a high-scope environment. They often times learn as they play. The children in this classroom should be potty trained. Their daily routine follows a lesson plan developed at the beginning of each month. The curriculum is designed to prepare the children for kindergarten.
